Job Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting an organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures that the network operates efficiently, securely, and reliably to meet the organization's communication and data transfer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Monitor and optimize network performance, capacity, and security.
Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
Troubleshoot network issues and perform regular maintenance and upgrades.
Ensure network security through firewalls, access control, and VPNs.
Maintain network documentation and provide support to IT teams.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure efficient network integration with systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience in networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and VPNs.
Proficiency with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds).
Preferred Skills:
Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIP.
Experience in network security practices and implementation.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
