About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift Administrator to be instrumental in supporting the infrastructure that underpins mission-critical digital services for a major Australian Government agency. Salary Range

Salaries for Senior OpenShift Administrator roles range from $140k to $190k including super. Contract rates range from $1,000 to $1,600 per day.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain OpenShift or Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Support developers in automating containerised application deployments using GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform in-place cluster upgrades, resource management, and capacity planning.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.

• Apply robust security practices including network segmentation and RBAC.

• Lead project execution, mentor junior engineers, and manage timelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology with business goals.

• Document systems, processes, and share operational knowledge.
